BioTech Bootcamp is an intensive business training program designed to equip aspiring biotech entrepreneurs like you with the knowledge, skills and industry connections required to transform a breakthrough biotech idea into a successful scalable business.
The program is completely free. We don’t ask for any equity and you pay zero fees.

BioTech Bootcamp is an intensive eight-week business development program that involves doing three sessions a day, morning and afternoon, from Tuesday to Thursday each week.
If you’re one of the 12 aspiring entrepreneurs selected for the program, we’ll send you a detailed weekly schedule. This includes a mix of live and recorded sessions, expert Q&As, personalized 1:1 coaching and skills training.
There are also networking events where you get to interact and connect with key people in the biotech community.
At the peak of the program, you will get to attend this year’s Bioentrepreneurship Summit in Munich, run by BioM. Bringing together key players from the worlds of biotech and health tech entrepreneurship, it’s a great opportunity to learn and network with leading researchers, innovators and investors in your field.
Startups will have the opportunity to have a virtual profile at the Summit’s startup exhibition. There, they can enter an overview on their startup and add additional material like a pitch deck and/or a 3 minute pitch video.

Merck will award two winners with a trip to their M Lab™ Collaboration Center in Molsheim, France to meet experts and build networks.

Who is eligible to apply?
An entrepreneur, a scientist, a professional, a founder or a CEO committed to attend the full 8 weeks of the program, with an innovative business idea in the fields BioTech, Pharma or Diagnostics, and if possible with one team member.
Examples of business ideas could be developing diagnostic kits, vaccines, biologics or drugs.
Do I need to have a registered company to apply?
No.

You should have received a confirmation e-mail (if not, please check your spam inbox and contact laura@smileincubator.life if necessary). Once we have reviewed all of the applications you will receive an e-mail with our decision.
Can my application be written in Swedish or German?
The program is all run in English, but applications in Swedish and German are accepted.
Is the whole program online?
Yes. During the intense 8 weeks we will meet digitally 3 times a week with combination of live and pre-filmed sessions. Its required that each team attends at least 85% of all the sessions.
What constitutes the 8-weeks the program of?
Activities held throughout the day, Tuesday to Thursday from September 6th to October 28th, 2021. This includes a mix of live and recorded sessions, expert Q&As, personalized 1:1 coaching and skills training. There are also networking events where you get to interact and connect with key people in our community.
What makes this program unique?
This program is a unique collaboration between SmiLe Incubator and BioM, and the two leading biotech Incubators give access to their expertise for free.
The program consists of a unique mixture of sharing our knowledge, and hands-on work on your start up. This mixture has proven to be effective in making you a more confident entrepreneur while simultaneously developing your start-up.
At the peak of the program, you will attend Bioentrepreneurship Summit week, that brings together all relevant stakeholders of the bioentrepreneurial and health tech ecosystems.
We are two or more on the team. Can we all participate?
There needs to be one account per idea, meaning that one person is responsible to create an account. One person per team needs to be committed to the program. The other team members can also attend.
I can’t attend all of the sessions. Can a team member participate for me?
Yes, with the exception of the pitch training.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes.
